RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads all aspects of client deliverables, interfacing with other teams in Canada’s Investment Consulting Practice.
  • Acts as senior support on Canada’s Investment Consulting practices largest clients; taking ownership for these relationships.
  • Identifies and develops opportunities on client accounts, increasing the scope of existing projects and relationships.
  • Directly responsible for developing and pursing new opportunities via relationship building and leading responses to RFP’s to drive sales for the Investment Consulting Practice in Canada.
  • Leads increasingly complex client relationships, providing proactive and creative support to clients. Applies good judgment and appropriate follow-through with firm employees, investment managers, trustees, and clients.
  • Demonstrates initiative & ownership of client & research-related work.
  • Manages and delivers loosely defined and complex practice/research area work and client projects.
  • Efficiently manages internal resources for effective handling of multiple client projects.
  • Viewed as subject area expert and/or adds to Canada’s Investment Consulting Practice thought leadership on specific client types or unique investment issues.
  • Demonstrates clear understanding and ability to articulate value proposition of all Canadian Investment Consulting services.
  • Functions collaboratively across the company practice areas and various regional leadership teams.
  • Leads/manages/mentors’ junior colleagues in the firm.
  • Leads ad hoc projects for the Canada Investment Consulting Senior Management Team / local leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance or Commerce or related discipline, or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Commitment to professional development. Completion of MBA or CFA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of direct experience in financial / investment consulting environment.
  • Requires investment consulting expertise, business and investment industry acumen, strategic thinking, client focused, experience working with institutional clients.
  • A strong understanding of investment concepts and the financial markets.
  • Demonstrated client relationship management skills; ability to lead a large block of clients and large client teams.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical decision making, and problem solving skill in developing solutions for complex clients’/business issues.
  • Ability to establish relationships at the executive leave with existing and prospective clients for purposes of understanding the short term/long term needs of clients; is capable at identifying business development opportunities and negotiating and closing consulting assignments.
  • Embraces entrepreneurial and creative spirit in work through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to help with growth and expansion of the organization.
  • Ability to establish self as a trusted leader/advisor. Demonstrates strong client facing skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and information and to respond promptly and effectively to all inquiries.
  • Detail and results-orientated; able to work independently on a variety of projects, able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced; high pressure environment and meet project deadlines.

  • Experienced with PC’s and Microsoft Office suite of business applications.
