RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establishing a strong partnership with internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Align Information management data services to support business objectives.
  • Managing the continued evolution of data products for operational analytics, Strategic analytics, Pricing and actuarial.
  • Provide technical leadership and assist with “hands-on” contribution for data preparation for analytics stakeholders.
  • Lead delivery of data solutions, manage project timelines and customer relationships.
  • Contribute to data management strategies including solution and data architecture.
  • Provide centralized analytics support and establish a data preparation function to support the business needs.
  • Ensure product quality in delivering data products using agile practices.
  • Provide optimized solutions and do value monitoring, quality assurance and data validations.
  • Mentoring staff on information management best practices and standards.
  • Working with partner functions to ensure that the information management practice coincides with other practices and methodologies.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of the information management practice to meet the changing needs of the organization including the identification of new tools and techniques to enhance service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Your knowledge of business domain, data engineering, data science and passion along with your ability to lead and inspire a team, will play a key part in your success in this role.
  • Demonstrated experience in large and complex data intensive information projects using industry best practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated “hands-on” experience in big data architecture, data blending, data curation and data transformation is essential.
  • Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in data management using big data technologies & tools.
  • Data analysis experience using python or Scala programming tools.
  • Innovative and passionate about solving complex problems with variety of data & analytical tools.
  • 2-3 years of people management experience in public or private sector.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components, such as: HDFS, Hbase, Apache spark, Hive and data streaming tools is essential.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and working knowledge with relational and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Knowledge of BI tools, data visualization, reporting and analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and delivering data management strategies.
  • Understanding of data governance framework and practices.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills are required.
