  • Prepare risk/return analysis and scenario testing in accordance with defined standards using highly complex and technical capital modeling tools to understand the impact of taking, avoiding, or mitigating enterprise risks; This would involve working with underwriting, investment, and reinsurance data.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate model findings, recommendations, and observations to functional area managers through summaries, reports, and presentations.
  • Conclude the reasonableness of model outputs through various techniques including sensitivity analysis, benchmarking, and back-testing.
  • Assist with reviewing the results of model validation activities performed by third parties.
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks.
  • Possess a positive, professional, cooperative, and quality-conscious service attitude that upholds company's core values of integrity, relationships, and excellence.
  • Strong mathematics background with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, or Actuarial Science at a minimum.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in the P&C Insurance Industry; Economic Capital Modeling experience preferred.
  • Strong PC skills, including Excel and PowerPoint; Knowledge in Excel VBA preferred.
  • Experience with statistical/analytics software such as Microsoft SQL Server & Management Studio, R, Python, SAS, and Microsoft Power BI preferred.
  • Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical people.
  • Ability to effectively present information and make recommendations to functional area managers on measures to help evaluate and mitigate risk.
  • Proven analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Be a self-starter capable of working with minimum supervision and able to effectively prioritize workload.
