  • Analyzing, summarizing and providing recommendations to the President & CEO, on key business projects, specifically those presented to the Canadian Leadership Team, with both a national and regional impact.
  • Drive the Leadership Team to deliver solutions in a timely manner to help them achieve the goals of the company strategy. Proceed to ongoing evaluation of the current strategy and propose adjustments / corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure progression and alignment of growth initiatives by ensuring strong communication between teams, that deadlines are met and by ensuring deliverables are of high quality.
  • Be on the lookout for investment and partnership opportunities with local based players and represent the company in these discussions.
  • Represent the President at both internal & external functions and prepare & develop presentations and briefs.
  • Develop and define our positions in line with legislative changes with our colleagues and regulators.
  • Create an external presence to bring life to the company strategy outside of Quebec, create alignment for the leaders, in essence, communicate, influence and rally leaders.
  • Meet current & potential clients with whom we are not currently doing business to develop relationships & we can better influence outcome when they go to market.
  • Lead the processes for important business feedback loops: Key Initiative meetings, Leader and Employee meetings and others as appropriate.
  • In collaboration with the President identify, develop and maintain relevant BU metrics that will enable the leadership team to develop effective plans and manage the key elements of the business on an ongoing basis.
  • Solid understanding of the wealth and insurance products and markets.
  • Business development experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in collaborating and influencing cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Understanding of the legislative environment for wealth & insurance products / markets.
  • Experience in group business and / or consultancy is an asset.
