  • Be involved in the development of short- and long- term goals and plans for the working group.
  • Manage and participate in product support through rate analysis, experience studies and state filing initiatives to continually monitor, grow and improve business results.
  • Engage in the production of financial reporting and assessment of book performance, collaborating with business partners across functions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the marketplace and our products supporting the customer.
  • Actively communicate status and results of work being performed and share ideas leading to improvements in products and processes.
  • Train and take part in development of associates.
  • Four years of progressively more responsible and related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 actuarial examinations from the Casualty Actuarial Society. Near Associate to Associate preferred.
  • Prior Leadership/Supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of Actuarial concepts of Valuation/Reserving, Rate Making/Pricing, Actuarial Memorandums & Reports and Actuarial Rate Filing.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong background in financial/actuarial technical concepts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
  • Strong Excel knowledge and working knowledge of SQL or similar programming language.
  • Ability to manage projects to required deadlines in a changing environment.
