RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyzes and reports on loss trends including regular/monthly reports and ad-hoc requests. .
  • Analyzes and reports on other measures including cancellation/retention/attrition, NB production, NB quality, PIF quality and any other ad-hoc requests.
  • Monthly modeling of all risks in commercial hurricane modeling softwares AIR and RMS. No previous experience required.
  • Portfolio analytics for reinsurance cost.
  • Profitability analysis by line, county and coverage.
  • Inspection criteria based on results.
  • Query and analyze large volumes of data from stores in various database formats.
  • Independently works on supporting new products and features.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • College Degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Insurance, or other technical degree.
  • Two to five years of Personal Lines experience as a Product Analyst, Pricing Analyst or Risk Analyst.
  • Preferred certifications: Successful completion of CPCU or Actuarial exams preferred. AIR and / or RMS Certifications.
  • Analytical techniques and technical communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management.
  • Demonstrated skills or past achievement to obtain desired results.
  • COGNOS, SQL, Oracle, AIR, Access and RMS preferred.
  • Superior Excel skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn additional software applications as required.
  • Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Gather information from multiple parties to ensure all perspectives are heard and considered.
  • Listen to others to respond effectively to ideas, thoughts and questions.
  • Express information and ideas effectively in settings including aligned or un-aligned feedback to obtain desired results.
