RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate the activities within International to ensure compliance with the Model and End User Computing Risk Management policy and related guidelines, including model valuation reports review, process documentation maintenance, and annual policy compliance sign off.
  • Review revisions to the policy and related guidelines, determine impact to the company processes and resources and communicate to International staff/management, and provide appropriate feedback to US and Corporate contacts.
  • Provide model review under the company change management processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all preliminary and final model risk assessments.
  • Support Operational Risk Officer and Business Unit Risk Officer with Operational Risk deliverables including Operational Risk Event reporting, Risk Control Self Assessments, and development and collection of Key Risk Indicators.
  • Engage in process improvements to improve efficiency and strengthen controls; build new reporting and analytical capabilities as necessary.
  • Manage the monthly production process for the International Finance team, including setting monthly schedule and working with Finance staff to ensure deliverable timelines are met.
  • Perform review of production reports for accuracy and completeness; maintain and appropriately update production checklists.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • ASA or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience working with actuarial models and Excel from a pricing and/or operations perspective.
  • Knowledge in AXIS preferred .
  • MS Access experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of Universal Life insurance products preferred.
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas to non-actuaries.
  • Good multitasking abilities with proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent people skills in order to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to timelines and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interface with different business partners across geographic locations.
