RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Undertake the quarterly actuarial reserving reviews including AvE analysis and annual year-end reserve reviews, including work in relation to Technical Provisions for assigned legal entities.
  • Provide inputs and produce SFSCR and MCR using the standard formula/appropriate models for assigned legal entities.
  • Produce reserve and risk reports to support calculations and provide guidance on Solvency II capital implications for the business.
  • Support on the production of various ORSAs and provide Actuarial inputs for these.
  • Be involved in the wider Solvency II project; including embedding Solvency II processes within the underlying business units.
  • Produce and test reserve risk parameters.
  • Provide support needed for internal and external parties as part of the year end reserving and reporting process.
  • Produce MI, such as business forecasts, as required for key stakeholders and senior management and finance.
  • Carry out claims analyses to determine underlying trends claims activity.
  • Assist as required in potential acquisition due diligence projects.
  • Provide ad hoc actuarial analysis as required by the global actuarial team as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Progress towards actuarial qualification with evidence of qualifications.
  • Knowledge of reserving and experience of dealing with, and producing the appropriate models and required reporting under the Solvency II regime.
  • Experience of having worked within European markets and exposure to a range of lines of businesses and jurisdictions preferable.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of other actuarial software packages.
  • Ability to work independently but also effectively as part of a dispersed team.
  • Can demonstrate evidence of showing initiative and bringing a pro-active approach to the workplace.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport with other staff.
  • Ability to seek and illicit information from a wide range of people across the company.
  • Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
  • Strong project skills including planning and prioritization.
