RESPONSIBILITIES
  • · Design the architecture of applications and tackle technical hurdles to craft functional and efficient business analytics solutions.
  • · Utilize modern technologies, numerical, and mathematical methods to optimize applications for speed, cost-effectiveness, and convenience.
  • · Ensure efficient utilization of cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure.
  • · Conduct code review and uphold code quality standards.
  • · Maintain consistent coding standards and take ownership of code business logic.
  • · Collaborate with software engineers in the Tech&Data organization to align with company’s IT landscape.
  • · Coordinate testing efforts with other business analysts and IT professionals.
  • · Develop solutions for data-driven business insights and advanced analytics, including machine learning, and support automation initiatives in insurance.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • · 3+ years of experience in software development and data management.
  • · Proficient in statistical programming with a basic understanding of actuarial concepts.
  • · Insurance / reinsurance experience an asset
  • Actuarial background desired
  • · Knowledgeable in data models and designs, proficient in developing and executing SQL, Python, and R scripts on complex data models.
  • · Familiarity with R or Python and data visualization packages.
  • · Experience with Databricks platforms an asset
  • · Applying data science technologies in business is desirable.
  • ->SALARY: 130-170k
