  • Support prospecting activities. Support the development of new client opportunities by overseeing the client meetings process, including research and preparation of materials. Attend and document meetings with prospects and partners. Assist with the preparation of responses to RFPs.
  • Maintain the DBS prospecting process document and priority prospect lists. Oversee the sharing of relevant information with external contacts.
  • Oversee DBS’ use of Salesforce, the client relationship management system, by researching, implementing and monitoring best practices and developing and analyzing custom reports. Oversee Salesforce’s monitoring and reporting processes.
  • Marketing. Support the development of compelling and impactful presentations and client materials. Oversee the preparation and distribution of the monthly Client Relationships dashboard.
  • Client Servicing. Contribute to providing exceptional service to our clients by supporting the directors with client relationship and servicing activities.
  • Research and product knowledge. Become familiar with the de-risking landscape in Canada and other countries, including the solutions being used, the level of market activity and new product innovation. Prepare the monthly industry update and distribute to internal stakeholders.
  • Collect and maintain relevant industry statistics and share with the DBS team and key partners.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an actuarial or investment environment, or in a business development support role, would be a beneficial asset.
  • Deep knowledge of defined benefit pension plans.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects within deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to concisely synthesize information.
  • High-energy, results-oriented self-starter with a proven commitment to quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel.
  • Fully fluent in both English and French.
