RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reporting and Planning Cycle.
  • Develop, analyze, and communicate compliance to Segmented Investment Guidelines.
  • Annually the guidelines are reviewed by this position and changes are recommended to senior management and then the investment committee.
  • Assist in asset portfolio decision making.
  • Annual Investment Programs Budget.
  • Develop and analyze both fixed income and equity investment programs.
  • The investment programs involve communication and coordination of several areas including all the lines of business and our asset managers for bonds, equities and real estate.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting on various asset positions and programs.
  • Analyze interest rate movements and equity indices.
  • Process Enhancements and Developments.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree majoring in finance, statistics, actuarial mathematics, accounting or a similar discipline. Progress toward a professional designation (CFA, accounting, etc.) is an asset.
  • Understanding of financial instruments, markets, and time value of money.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Access.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Proven analytical, problem solving abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships across the organization.
  • Highly effective in a team environment as well as ability to work independently.
