  • Benchmark comparisons of plan attributes and performance, focused on supporting clients in benefits plans management using sophisticated decision support tools to evaluate the current and predicted future performance and exposure of their programs.
  • Distill vast amounts of data into meaningful reports, to support client decision making and business decisions.
  • Navigate complex data and technical questions, developing solutions and explaining technical concepts so that all audiences can understand and receive value from the company.
  • Develop and build an evolving high-performing team.
  • Collaborates with other areas within the business to support the use of advanced data and analytics that help support business priorities.
  • Post-secondary education in a related program (such as actuarial, business, mathematics, computer science).
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience or related work experience.
  • Experience with Data Management, understanding of data analytics and best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership of a team of professionals with the ability to persuade and engage.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, and build consensus in multi-functional teams encouraging innovative approaches, challenging the status quo and inspiring creativity and risk-taking while protecting the core.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen to identify business opportunities that create competitive advantage
  • Intuitive sense and passion for determining “what customers need” and how to tailor solutions to those needs.
  • Ability to develop highly effective long-term plans in line with the company’s strategic objectives; highly adept at setting goals and determining priorities, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and potential issues/exposures that could affect the business.
  • Knowledge of underwriting principles with expertise in actuarial and financial underwriting an asset.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
