  • Provide analytic support for various strategic initiatives and projects across the company, including the following:
  • Conduct financial analysis, including developing financial models to understand the profitability of a company, a line of business, or a market/industry.
  • Gather market and competitor information from industry associations, publications, and research reports
  • Interview internal staff to get information and perspective on a line of business, competitive threats, market trends and other relevant strategic issues.
  • Analyze customer and advisor data to understand market size, trends and segmentation.
  • Develop company profiles based on financial reports, analyst reports, company websites, industry groups, research reports, literature searches etc.
  • Manage their own work stream on projects with minimal guidance.
  • Support annual Board long-term strategic plan process.
  • Provide presentation and meeting support:
  • Develop PowerPoint presentation materials.
  • Participate in a broad range of Strategy team and business team meetings to gather information, share insights and present findings.
  • An undergraduate degree (preferably in business, finance or actuarial science).
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with particular emphasis on financial analysis and strategic analysis, demonstrated through work experience.
  • Highly proficient in financial modeling and analysis using Excel and presentation development using PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing ability -willing to professionally ask tough questions to move to new thinking.
  • Ability to work well in an open, collaborative environment without rigidly defined boundaries of “who does what”.
  • Well-developed business judgment, poise and maturity.
  • High motivational level.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry preferred.
