  • Cat risk modeling and pricing analysis based on vendor cat models (i.e. particularly RMS and AIR) and statistical methods.
  • Working with internal pricing tools and dynamic financial analysis (DFA) tools (e.g. Remetrica).
  • Contributing to the units’ best pricing practice development in close cooperation with the View of Risk Unit, consisting of market analysis, investigation of vendor cat models and the comprehension of the underlying concepts and assumptions.
  • Working in close collaboration with Underwriters and Cat Modelers, as well as Claims and Actuarial department within the organization.
  • Representing the company at Cat Modeling conferences and joining Underwriters at cedent/broker meetings.
  • Master degree in natural science or mathematical studies.
  • At least 4 to 6 years of relevant business experience, and several years of experience in reinsurance cat pricing in an international reinsurance company or in broking business.
  • In-depth knowledge of RMS/AIR vendor model.
  • Ability to work with dynamic financial analysis (DFA) tools (e.g. Remetrica) and experience with programming languages / data base management (VBA/.Net/SQL/R/Matlab) and GIS.
  • Experience in managing projects successfully.
  • Fluent in English, any other language a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities under pressure and time constraints; flexibility to work overtime during peak periods.
  • Ability to recognize task demands and deadlines and prioritize accordingly.
