Senior Cat Risk Analyst

  • Be the key expert responsible for the internal PC risk model with focus on catastrophe risks. This includes developing guidelines and frameworks, assuring consistency with Solvency II incl. validation, joining discussions with regulators/ auditors and providing guidance/ support to subsidiaries and colleagues from Group Risk.
  • Perform special evaluations on catastrophe and reinsurance related topics. Conduct stress tests/ scenario studies on selected topics.
  • Be the key interface for cat topics to the internal reinsurance function as well as the subsidiaries.
  • Experience with cat risk modeling or model development and the ability to develop scenario studies.
  • Master’s degree in natural science or equivalent.
  • Fluent in Business English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Power Point, Excel, and Access).
  • 4+ years of professional insurance and/or reinsurance experience.
  • Motivation, excellent analytical and communication skills plus the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Role requires deep understanding of methodologies of Catastrophe models across regions, perils and vendors (e.g., RMS, AIR).
  • Responsibility for small to medium size projects were expertise from various entities needs to be considered and brought together.
  • International working experience and Solvency II knowledge is a plus.
