Reinsurance Broker
  • Leading the development of risk products from global reanalysis datasets.
  • Examining impacts of climate change on El Niño/La Niña weather patterns and the implications for tropical cyclone formation and landfall.
  • Developing approaches to determine the impact of climate change on agricultural production.
  • Represent the company at client and scientific meetings, and assist in other related projects.
  • Ph.D. (or equivalent) specializing in atmospheric physics with direct knowledge of climate change issues.
  • Advanced experience modelling atmospheric processes, extreme weather and climate change risks.
  • Intermediate/advanced skills in GIS, databases, and statistical analysis.
  • Intermediate programming skills (Python and/or R preferred).
  • Advanced English language skills, both oral and written.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Intermediate experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Project management experience.
  • Other language skills an advantage but not required.
