  • Support Portfolio Managers in designing and implementing client investment solutions combining active & passive strategies across multiple asset classes to meet both return-seeking, liability matching and risk management requirements.
  • Support the Portfolio Managers in managing the client solutions including manager selection and portfolio construction.
  • Help oversee transitions to both fund new client solutions and implement portfolio changes.
  • Carry out performance measurement and risk management for client portfolios and underlying sub-investment managers utilized.
  • Interact with Client Relationship teams to coordinate client reporting including the accurate and timely provision of investment and portfolio data as well as strategy and performance commentary for factsheets and client reports.
  • Liaise closely with all members of the Investment teams (Portfolio management, Risk, Strategy and Investment Solutions) and manager research teams in order to develop and deliver the best solutions for clients
  • Degree qualified - a strong undergraduate degree majoring in Accounting, Actuarial Studies, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or similar discipline is essential.
  • Progress towards or completion of further qualifications such as Actuarial qualifications, CAIA, CFA or a relevant Master’s degree is highly desirable.
  • Preferred 5+ years’ experience within an investment environment (e.g. investment consulting or asset/investment management).
  • An understanding of institutional investors’ strategies.
  • Exposure to manager research process desirable.
  • Exposure to transitions desirable.
  • Some experience and understanding of investment guidelines and associated legal documentation.
  • Good at building and sustaining internal and external relationships.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and spreadsheet skills.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral, preferably with some experience of investment writing such as market commentaries or company or manager investment reports.
  • Solid understanding of investments and related issues.
  • Ability to work effectively within in a small, dynamic team.
  • Solid understanding of current investment environment and related issues.
  • High-level attention to detail and an understanding of its application to the bigger picture.
