RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the communication of the control framework and documentation to internal and external auditors, and regulators, if necessary.
  • Adapt control framework and documentation to rapid changes in the Actuarial processes.
  • Assist in interactions between Actuarial, Finance, and Actuarial data providers (e.g. IT, Insurance Operations, etc).
  • Assist and possibly lead research and implementation of Accounting Policy in Actuarial.
  • Research and preparation of financial information needed for GAAP, PGAAP, and HGAAP, if necessary.
  • Assist with harmonization efforts across legal entities.
  • Stay current on emerging Statutory, Tax and GAAP practices and issues related to Actuarial.
  • Manage the external auditor quarterly reviews and annual audit procedures over Actuarial balances.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional designation in financial related area required, such as Certified Public Accountant.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, including familiarity with GAAP and Statutory financial reporting.
  • Experience with actuarial concepts and knowledge of annuity products preferred.
  • Public accounting audit experience preferred.
