RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contributes to the vision of the role of the corporate underwriting team and responsible for its execution.
  • Coordinates Contact PL project activities including requirement gatherings and conversion.
  • Planning, development, and implementation of projects to support Personal Lines Ontario and Atlantic goals, including system upgrades and database information. Supports internal/external business partners to ensure divisional priorities and projects are delivered.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of projects within a call center environment.
  • Fosters team work within the corporate underwriting team and collaboration with regional actuarial teams and Operations & Planning by providing appropriate and timely support. Support employee engagement and talent management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree is required
  • At least 8 years of experience in P&C insurance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of personal lines & personal lines systems.
  • Management experience including the coaching and mentoring of staff towards stronger performance.
  • Experience in a Call Centre would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience in a supervisory role required.
  • Must demonstrate efficiency and priority management skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a definite asset.
