RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct accountability in day-to-day portfolio management of client mandates including mandate structuring, cash flows, transitions, etc.
  • Collaborate with Associates and Institutional Portfolio Managers to prepare presentations and other forms of client communication.
  • Structuring of mandates to achieve the client’s objectives, particularly in an asset/liability context.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of portfolio construction process, market conditions and portfolio positioning.
  • Support Institutional Portfolio Managers with managing and supporting existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Institutional Team on a wide variety on investment driven projects including new business proposals or research topics.
  • Assist in creating content and managing production, review and distribution of client reporting. Oversee managing cash flows, benchmark changes and monitoring portfolio compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with institutional clients.
  • CFA or Actuarial Designation.
  • Strong analytic skills and problem solver who demonstrates strategic thinking with common sense and sound judgment.
  • Thorough understanding of the fiduciary duties of trustees, and generally of the legal and regulatory environment affecting DB and DC pension plans.
  • Prior experience in the pension industry.
  • Knowledge of commonly used financial programs is an asset - Bloomberg, PC Bond Analytics, FMC, etc.
  • Bilingual English/French would be an asset.
