RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research and analyze issues. Fluently express findings and recommendations orally and in writing to Management.
  • Support the Pricing Manager in the development of pricing for all new and current products and services.
  • Support Senior Management in the preparation of the annual Plan and Budget.
  • Prepare monthly exhibits on production, profitability and productivity for senior management.
  • Provide ad hoc analyses to Senior Management as requested.
  • Assist the CFO and the Pricing Manager with special projects.
  • Assist Product teams with Analysis to support product changes.
  • Retrospective analysis of actual results vs. original assumptions in pricing models.
  • Increase review standards for all new opportunities.
  • Review marketing effectiveness.
  • RFP support.
  • Update and maintain cancel curves.
  • Update Loss Costs for pricing models.
  • Analyze Client/Campaign Profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in quantitative disciplines such as mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
  • 4+ years’ experience, actuarial background or experience in insurance, ratemaking, pricing, is preferable
  • Ability to use incomplete data to make reasonable business decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to assume responsibility for a project, develop a sound plan for its completion, and deliver a quality product on time.
  • Ability to research and analyze a situation and express findings and recommendations both orally and in writing to Senior Management.
  • Strong computer skills including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Access and database skills are helpful.
