RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To run stochastic models (based on Monte Carlo simulation techniques) in order to assess the capital implications of business decisions (such as investment strategy and business planning).
  • To validate the consistency between model inputs and outputs.
  • To support the parameterisation process for different models.
  • To assist in producing management information for internal and external stakeholders.
  • To assist in the calculation of regulatory and economic capital requirements, including the Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR).
  • To provide programming support as required for the development of stochastic models.
  • To help maintain model documentation in line with regulatory requirements (including Solvency II tests and standards).
  • To provide project support as required.
  • To adhere to controls over all key capital modelling processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2:1 (Honors) degree or better in numerate discipline.
  • ‘A’ Level math’s.
  • Statistical qualifications.
  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Technical Skills.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel (or equivalents) Desirable.
  • Understanding or knowledge of capital modelling software.
  • Good computer programming and data manipulation.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
