  • Maintaining excellent client relationships with all of our in-force longevity contacts.
  • Coordinating the management and analysis of in-force longevity treaties including annual process coordination.
  • Draft responses/proposals to ad-hoc client queries and requests; focusing on balancing adherence to the underlying treaty with commercial pragmatism.
  • Chair in-force longevity management meetings to share knowledge, determine actions and identify and coordinate improvements.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of current longevity treaties and an understanding of the impact of negotiated terms on the internal processes. Where appropriate suggest amendments of existing treaties or changes to the standard treaty; used as a starting point for writing new business.
  • Coordinating the implementation of new longevity treaties by preparing a detailed implementation pack to be used throughout the business.
  • Support new business origination through managing the preparation of tender responses, regular management information and the implementation of new treaties.
  • 2 years’ experience to newly qualified in actuarial professional exams or 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and desire to become an actuary.
  • Experience of life reinsurance, life insurance or pensions de-risking markets.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Office IT software (not essential).
  • Strong organizational skills and good evidence of successful project management.-Communicates technical concepts in a clear manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Committed team member who works proactively with other teams.
  • Participates actively in meetings and is willing to share information, knowledge, and experience openly.
