  • Strategy, planning, management and execution;
  • Work with the Head of Health & Medical Solutions to develop and execute the Health & Medical Solutions strategy and plan.
  • Work together with the Head of Health & Medical Solutions, and the Marketing and Communications areas to design and launch a Health & Medical Solutions marketing approach to support the HMS Asia strategy.
  • Participate and support the Regional Solutions Group overall initiatives and objectives.
  • Provide input into local market strategies to ensure alignment with regional and global life and health reinsurance strategies as well as focus on delivery of key business metrics.
  • Health & Medical Solution Innovation:
  • Work closely across the Solutions Group team members, together with local and regional Products teams, and local client managers to develop and execute differentiated product innovations and holistic non-technology and technology-enabled propositions aligned with Health & Medical Asia Solutions strategy to grow the business and strengthen our market leading position in Asia.
  • Organize, drive and participate in both internal and client-facing product workshops to build joint product development partnerships.
  • Build strong internal regional and global network to drive an innovation culture and share and leverage innovations across the organization.
  • Risk knowledge, appetite and exposure:
  • Work together with Global Life & Health R&D to leverage and continue to build through industry and non-industry collaborations of the Health & Medical risk knowledge in strategic innovation areas to access new market opportunities.
  • Commercially apply risk knowledge of long term trends in strategic innovation areas to future-proof Health & Medical Solutions Innovations.
  • Proactively organize, drive and participate in internal forums and working groups to deliver insights to strengthen risk knowledge across the Life & Health business.
  • Leverage and challenge the appetite for long term health guarantees and health and medical risk exposures across Asia markets to execute competitive and sustainable health & medical propositions.
  • Steer Health & Medical Solution innovations to ensure sustainable growth of the business in Asia.
  • Work together with the Institute, Global Life & Health R&D and other internal and external partners to drive clinical, market, regulatory and consumer research, analyze results and deliver insights in industry and non-industry forums to strengthen the thought leadership position in strategic innovation areas and apply these commercially to the development and execution of Health & Medical Solutions Innovations.
  • Engage in industry and non-industry forums to deliver the risk knowledge to drive the market leadership in Health in Asia.
  • Work together with local client markets, communications and logistics to deliver our flagship Health Symposium across Asia.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant L&H experience in reinsurance or primary insurance, with either the company or a blue chip reinsurer/insurer in Asia.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills across product pricing and product management in Health and Medical Reimbursement risks.
  • Fundamental understanding of the Asian insurance and reinsurance industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Skilled at building collaboration as well as constructively challenging teams to produce focused business delivery.
  • Creative, able to think outside the box and challenge norms.
  • Strong team ethic and ability to influence within a complex matrix.
  • Fluent English speaker; able to read and speak Japanese or Korean is highly preferred.
  • Flexible to travel extensively.
