RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in asset-liability study for our clients (pension funds, foundations, etc.).
  • Participate in various risk management initiatives.
  • Participate in modeling different asset strategies.
  • Contribute to research and development of new risk management tools.
  • Improve and maintain the tools related to the different risk management projects.
  • Lead the production of the monthly and quarterly performance reports.
  • Answer the questions of internal clients.
  • Lead the elaboration of the liability matching component bonds portfolio.
  • Lead the implementation of new clients.
  • Share ideas and debate with the team to improve processes and ultimate solution to clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics.
  • Pursuing SOA exams and/or CFA strongly encouraged.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong interest in the finance/investment field.
  • Strong interest in research and development.
  • Skills and interest in programming (VB, Matlab, C++, etc.).
  • Knowledge of methods used for estimating and projecting the actuarial liabilities of pension plans.
  • Knowledge of the different funding rules for Canadian pension plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be highly motivated, team-oriented and resourceful individual.
  • Ability to be creative.
  • Bilingual (English and French).
