RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Independently manage medium to large accounts in terms of size and complexity.
  • Lead junior analysts and manage project workflow.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the models and develop subject matter expertise in certain areas.
  • Proactively communicate findings and insights from catastrophe modeling to brokers and clients in a clear and professional manner. Actively seek and address client’s unique needs.
  • Scope out projects with brokers and clients. Ensure that the deliverables are timely, accurate and relevant.
  • Participate in production meetings, explain modeling results and provide expert input.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor or advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, computer science, meteorology, civil engineering, or related fields is required.
  • 5 -10 years working experience in the related fields.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Access, and SQL is required. VBA and advanced programming skills will be considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with at least two vendor models.
  • Ability to build and customize post model analytical solutions to address client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with positive work attitude.
  • Ability to proactively manage projects and prioritize the tasks for the team.
  • Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematical, economic and statistical concepts.
  • Familiarity with most model components and methodologies and ability to explain to the clients.
