RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and/or participate in Life and Health segment related projects and initiatives with other Group Centers and/or operating entities.
  • Assume responsibilities in terms of model governance.
  • Serve as coverage officer for an Operating Entity, including support for actuarial annual and quarterly closing process (e.g. Market Consistent Embedded Value, Technical provisions, Value of New business, Return on risk capital, profit source analysis).
  • Active support in the product approval process.
  • Providing analytical support and preparation of regular and/or ad hoc reports.
  • Travel to operating entities is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree with majors in actuarial science, economics, mathematics or other related fields.
  • Qualified actuary (ASA, FSA or equivalent).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. An additional language is a plus.
  • Solid IT skills that include advanced MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of SAP ECCS.
  • 6-10 years of experience in actuarial, financial accounting or risk analysis with focus in Life business.
  • Experience gained in an operational unit would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Life insurance and financial services sector. Strong market knowledge of a core market will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of typical actuarial related Life Insurance Company's processes (pricing/product development, ALM, reserving/valuation, underwriting).
  • Familiarity with market-consistent concepts and exposure to industry developments such as Solvency II, IFRS 4 Phase 2, etc.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting methodology.
  • Good track record of being able to work simultaneously on several projects with the skills to prioritize among those.
  • Work independently, with results orientation, a strong sense of cooperation and ability to work toward team success.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including the willingness to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • Motivated to pursue an international career.
