Insurance Organization
  • Knows and applies actuarial fundamentals & principles.
  • Evaluates alternative data presentations in formulating most appropriate delivery to audience.
  • Provides consultation and clarification on actuarial models and risk issues.
  • Takes ownership of the development of rate/reserve recommendations or equivalent within actuarial support or corporate functions (i.e. catastrophe loads, economic capital model).
  • Initiates and/or participates in process improvements to streamline existing tasks or improve the actuarial product.
  • Presents results and recommended actions consistent with the business strategy of the organization.
  • Performs peer review of team work product.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Three to five years of experience.
  • Five or more Casualty Actuarial Exams.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Intermediate programming skills, including the ability to develop and automate processes.
  • Understands and applies the commonly employed techniques used to model various assumptions.
  • Able to influence decision making and actions needed.
  • Ability to multitask and meet all deadlines with quality product.
