RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Development of innovative product and pricing solutions, in close cooperation with colleagues from the Automotive Innovation Center, in particular for topics such as car- and ridesharing, (partly) autonomous driving, usage based insurance (pay-as-you-drive, pay-how-you-drive).
  • Derivation and actuarial assessment of intelligent insurance and service product combinations jointly with product developers and actuaries from other entities.
  • Actuarial consulting of automotive manufacturers, mobility providers and company's entities during development of specific product and coverage solutions as well as non-standard premium concepts for retail and commercial motor.
  • Actuarial assessment of international Global Automotive products.
  • Portfolio and profitability assessment for existing and potential new business (incl. reinsurance).
  • Regular reinsurance renewals and potential new business acquisitions.
  • Portfolio management, smart circle and technical excellence activities.
  • Development and valuation of remediation measures of local entities’ automotive portfolios.
  • Participation in internal and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Collaboration with and ad-hoc requests from colleagues from international operating entities, hub functions as well as other entties's departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent university degree in mathematics, statistics or similar professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience and a strong actuarial track record.
  • Completed actuarial qualification.
  • Excellent verbal and written English required; proficient German as well as additional foreign language skills are advantageous.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Experience in Retail and/or Commercial Motor pricing and product development.
  • Experience in pricing, scoring and/or product development for new mobility topics and/or telematics (e.g. car-sharing, usage based insurance, etc.).
  • Knowledge of international motor insurance markets and their products is beneficial.
  • Experience in portfolio management and profitability assessment.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take over responsibility and work independently, creatively and flexibly within a team.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment.
  • Intercultural sensitivity and international experience.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills (i.e. communication, presentation and negotiation).
