RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform actuarial valuations in accordance with IFRS regulations and FAS87
  • Review data and asset reconciliations, individual sample cases, and liability results
  • Prepare preliminary results and reports for funding and financial accounting purposes
  • Lead and/or participate in employee benefits and retirement consulting projects
  • Effectively manage clients, projects, and team members to meet client expectations
  • Assist in new business developments by working with Managers and Partners
  • Participate in practice development initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Holds Actuarial license (ASA and/or above based on SOA) (Qualified Actuary)
  • At least 2 years of relevant industry or consulting experience (ideally though 5-8 years relevant experience)
  • Pension valuation experience essential; experience in using ProVal is preferred
  • Fluent in English, plus fluency in Korean preferred but not mandatory for a good quality candidate.
  • Candidates out with APAC region considered e.g. US/Canada, if they have strong qualifications for the role.
  • Understanding of client business issues
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Ability to work well with other team members, and to provide leadership
  • Project management, coordination and time management competency
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to develop relationships within/outside of the Retirement practice
  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance or Math
  • Good sense of humor and people skill
